Memphis mission
Objective: take back the city and perfect a battle plan that can be duplicated across the country. We Fight Monsters is building capacity in three waves — intake, recovery hospital/HQ, and long-term restoration campuses.
Wave 1 — Now
Downtown beachhead. Multiply capacity to treat in-house: permits, buildout, clinical staff, triage rooms & beds. Target scale: multi-million dollar facility build.
Wave 2 — Next
75,000 sq ft recovery pipeline (0–180 days), ops & training center with LE partners, chapel, classrooms, gym. The launchpad for city-wide operations.
Wave 3 — Soon
6–24 month restoration: housing, trades, farm market, teaching kitchen, paid apprenticeships. Mission sustainability + savings at graduation.
This is where money goes — not vanity metrics. Neighborhoods where kids can play outside again. Survivors with a bed. Veterans with a week of breathing room. Families who got their people back.
Streets
Dope houses converted. Criminal enterprises interrupted. Courts, police, mental health, and 12-step communities in Memphis have taken notice.
Trafficking
Intelligence work and survivor housing that put traffickers in front of judges and survivors on a path to a real life.
Violence
Teams that walk survivors out of abusive situations with their kids and belongings — then into help and a reset.
Veterans
Addiction, PTSD counseling, career & financial assistance. A donation can cover a week of rent, utilities, supplies, and transport so a veteran can focus on healing.
Real people. Real receipts. These stories come from the We Fight Monsters community — condensed for the page. Read more on their site.
Community
“What y’all are doing in the neighborhoods is not only helping those with addiction but their families. Kids can play outside… respect from the courts, police, mental health professionals, the community, and the 12-step communities.”
— Shay Summers
Crisis
“No one told him to go — he just went. In Uvalde after the school shooting, Ben coordinated support for grieving families… someone who steps toward suffering, not away from it.”
— Giovanna Carvelli
Escape
“Your team went in, in front of the abuser, helped her grab her things and her babies, and get free — then into a place for help and a chance to reset her life.”
— Brittany Virrueta
